Without her being naked and making out with the sledgehammer she potentially could have gained some more mature fans, but now no matter how good Wrecking Ball is, people aren't going to take it seriously. I'm glad it's seeing huge increases on iTunes but I wish it was doing so without more of her antics

Who cares? There are a lot of "mature" artists out there with "mature" fans, but Miley chose not to be one. The world is imperfect, that's the beauty of it. Not is everything as pretty as they show you in Hollywood. Miley's goal this era is obviously to do everything everyone doesn't want to see her doing. And she's succeeding so damn well. She's representing different part of society, albeit may be ugly and repulsive to some, but it still exists in this world. I've seen people do stuff way worse than Miley. People seem to forget that she's an entertainer, not the Messiah. Her main job is to provide stuff for people to enjoy and talk about, not fix society and find cure for AIDS.
