I also remember my career class for Video Production. Every two weeks we had to, as a class, produce a video for current events. After the VMAs, I was working so hard to include Britney's MESS.

Like I wanted to go all in detail but it got like a 15-second mention.

Fun fact: I jumped ship when Britney shaved her head and used to diss her 24/7. I always used to stalk her pap videos.
I remember I came from school and my sister telling me Britney shaved her head. I quickly turned on the TV and she was in the news channel. I was in complete shock mode.

LMAO! Like she literally on every damn news outlet. Like really! For example, during the VMAs 2007. Here we have news program from 2 biggest free TV - GMA and ABS. Britney was featured on the 6PM news hour, then late night and then by morning the next day on a morning show.

I just can't believe how quickly she was able to superficially recover to go basically straight from the psych ward to a comeback world tour successfully...only to come back later with the lackluster antics of Femme Fatale. You think it'd be the other way around and it only makes the FF era even more of a mystery.

Yes. I'm pretty sure I was distraught emotionally for her, but by that time and everything that lead to it (losing custody, drug tests, just everything) I could only hope for the best and well she got it together just weeks later.

Call it emotionally drained and expecting the worst, hoping for the best.

I remember sitting at dinner on vacation with the family and getting all heated like any 13 year old gay would. I almost ran to my room and locked the door.

When Britney shaved her head, I knew something was wrong. The night she was wheeled off on a stretcher and she had that dazed look in her eyes....I cried and said so many prayers for her that night. Broke my heart! My mom and had to drive and come meet me at LSU to check in on me. That really hurt me because like I said, growing up with her, it just felt like Britney was part of the family....you know? And God knows, when my family hurts, I hurt.

I actually distanced myself from her around then because I thought the only possible ending would be suicide and that would've crushed me. I purposefully avoided her news stories because I couldn't prepare for that day. Thank god she found another way out.
