And, as discussed when this 'news' first broke weeks ago, Artpop topped those fiftyish iTunes Charts in 2 days while MDNA held the record for doing 48 (if I'm not mistaken) in ONE day. Plus, there exist more iTunes Charts now than there did last year. However, even if you ignore all that, Gaga is "beating" the record held by a popstar thirty years into her career. If that doesn't speak about Madonna's continued relevance and her status as a contemporary to the newer pop girls, then I don't know what would.

I know sure as hell a madonna stan isn't coming for Gaga this era. Sis your 'queen' struggled to just get a top 10 single with her LEAD SINGLE. And by the time her 2nd single was here she just disappeared from the hot 100 , poof like a gust of wind

her album also set records for the largest album drop in HISTORY. Just proving the fact that the only reason her abum sold what it did in the first week was because she forced it into her tickets sales

Little Monsters were using applause's date moved as an excuse for it's underperformance while Madonna's GMAYL was leaked in HQ months before it's release and still cracked the Top 10. Everyone had GMAYL when it was released. She only performed it once on the Superbowl and managed to get top 10. She didn't do VMAS, GMA, Itunes Festival or anything else, but very few interviews. She never performed any of her other singles or did promotion of any kind.

And let's not forget we are comparing someone who is 5 years into her career and someone who is 30. When Madonna was 5 years into her career this happened:

And sold 20 mill.

To say Katy is not global is delusion, plain and simple. Monsters should accept how things are in 2013 and move on.
