I think Gaga will win initially but Katy will dominate in the long run.
I think they both should be successful ... they're both committed and passionate about their work so why can't they both enjoy their success wether one does more than the other? Both can win in different departments but still be called successful.
I love how people underestimate Gaga's singles power... She sold ****ing 2M of You and I with only 60M AI on radio, and she has 3 songs that sold more WW than any Katy/Rihanna/Britney/Bey song ever + She is about to be the only artist with 2 7M selling songs in the USA and now she is the only female artist with 2 6M sellers in the USA ... The fact that she sold 9M with Born This Way WW says a lot considering BTW isn't radio hit at all... It shoot up the radio the first 2-3-4 weeks and then quickly started falling ... 9M you realize that Rihanna don't have a song selling 9M WW ?!? and that's not even Gaga's biggest hit not even top 3 ......
Yall are saying don't underestimate Katy... yes she was more successful single wise but she never Overshadowed Gaga but Gaga overshadowing Katy will happen easily If she smash on radio cuz this is the only area she lacks and that's because she doesn't make music for the radio.. While Katy works with Dr Luke and Sia on them hits, Lady Gaga is working with DJWS, Zedd and artists like Marina Abramovic etc.... preparing an APP and probably one of the most artistic performances yall will ever see (or never see from your faves). . .
I think katy's label is dumb to ler her release 1 week after or before GaGa... I mean... They will both be hurt by that move. Had Katy announced before, but GaGa made a statement abour the whole art piece. She has the hype, she will deliver on the performance and the music will be better. We all know this. We don't know what th GP will think but Katy should premiere end of september or something. She can perform at the Voice which is a bigger plataform than the VMAs.

Honestly, Im tired of this rinse and repeat format. I hope Gaga does well, but most of the pop stars all peaked three years ago anyways. Im ready for something new, so Im a bit tired of this Katy vs Gaga thing.
