For me it was between Demi and Ariana but I chose Demi because she sings with more emotions

She was performing in front of the President and nervous as hell, you could see it in her face

Plus Mariah & her are very different vocalists. Mariah when she writes plays with notes a lot so it's hard for a singer with a vocal type like Demi to sing it. She still nailed the ending high note in head voice.

Not a big fan of Rihanna, and I think Ariana is talented but is overestimated. People think she is more talented than she actually is. Katy is an amazing vocalist, and Demi's voice is perfect. Absolutely flawless, her voice makes my heart melt. She is so talented and I'm pretty sure she is the only Disney music star that is actually talented. Even when she released Don't Forget and Here We Go Again when she had her reputation as a Disney star, the albums were surprisingly mature vocally and musically for someone her age.

Your opinion! IMO Ariana's vocals are overrated, I mean she's good but she only holds a great technique cause I don't think she emotes very well.
The poll results happen to be caught in the hype of her album.

Well. Ariana nailed when she sang that song

She wasn't performing in front of as nearly as a relevant crowd Demi was. It was the president's family, anyone would be nervous, especially when they have to sing a song from Mariah and sound good. I've never seen Demi that nervous before.

Plus Ariana's vocal style is much more like Mariah's than Demi's is. Demi brought a lot of strength to the cover to vocal wise.

I liked Demi's version better, she made a unique cover while the other one was an exact copy of the original wich I don't find appealing at all!

This Ariana vs Demi thing kind of reminds me of the Beyonce vs Kelly thing. Ariana and Bey are the better overall singers but Demi and Kelly usually get points for showing "emotion" more.

Except Beyonce has a much more power than Kelly

No, Demi & Ariana are no where near their level, but the similarities are undeniable.

Whitney had the power and showed more emotion while singing, Mariah had the range.

Queen W also had perfect technique unlike Demi though.
