So my 6 year old brother left my backyard door open for a few hours (

) and a mouse got in the house. I was FREAKING out because I hate mice or anything that crawls and makes noises at the same time. So before scolding him I went to the store and bought glue traps. I wanted to be humane and not by the regular mouse traps that kill on impact or the poison.
A few hours after putting them down, the mouse got caught on it but now I hear it struggling and gasping for air. It's nose is stuck in the glue and it takes up to a few hours for a mouse to die from asphyxiation (learned this in my Biology college course) so it obviously needs help, but I read the directions on the glue trap and apparently you are supposed dispose of the trap with the live mouse on it. If I do that, it'll die from suffocation

. However I don't want to help the thing because I also learned that mice have a one mile radii tracking thing in their biological system so they can find the home they invaded as long as it's within a mile. It is DAMN NEAR 12:40 in the morning so a bitch ain't driving NO DAMN MILE this time of night for a little rodent.
It needs help. Should I just dispose of it in the trash and let it die cruelly? My dad suggest that I turn the trap over and stomp on it viciously, that way it would be a semi-quick death, assuming I stomp on it hard enough

, should I do that? Or should I do something else? The glue is water based so I'm thinking if I use an oil (possibly cooking oil), it should penetrate the glue and help free the little critter and set it free. I'm just afraid that it will come back so idk what to do. Oh yeah, my mom suggested I just drop it in the toilet and let the thing drown

, SOMEONE HELP ME, I don't wanna be cruel to it but I'm afraid to go near the thing to help it out and I'm also afraid that it will come back
