The song came out of nowhere & had no hype. After it was released, it had no promo or anything except the music video.
Also, I have no idea where people are getting off calling her a bully either. I love Ariana to death but I think she's shown more attitude & diva behavior than any of the Nick girls. Ariana was the one who started the whole argument when she made that post on ask.fm about Victoria not wanting to do the show anymore.
I hope that Victoria can do like Ariana & start from scratch with stronger material after she's done touring. She has great vocals & she's a beautiful girl who has the potential to be a pop star.
Between taking too much of a break between Victorious and her song plus no hype or promo, she ruined it for herself. She needs better management and should connect with her fanbase better.
IMO, she lacks star quality and charisma. Also, Gold is like something you would hear on a Victorious soundtrack and I think one of the reasons Ariana is seeing such big success is because she's not making typical Disney/Nick music like Victoria is.

I think Ariana just has a better team behind her. The dude who made Justin Bieber, The Wanted, and Carly Rae Jepsen famous is her manager. All of those artists had a hit song.

Because she's at Columbia / Nickelodeon Records that's the reason she flops! They don't promote their artists.
