IDK. I remember MTV doing a news special on "Upcoming R&B chicks" featuring Rihanna, Ciara, Teairra Mari, and someone else circa 2005. Anyway, they only focused on Rihanna and Ciara (for obvious reasons). Ciara had the higher numbers at the time, the bigger following, etc. and MTV predicted that it would be RiRi with longevity and who would slay and well... we kind of know how that story turned out.

I guess my point is you can't jinx someone especially when their competition has a broader appeal and "talent".
