I NEVER use the front-facing camera on my phone, I always feel like it makes me look like I have some huge face with a double chin Maybe I just hold it at a weird angle.
The one thing I don't like about mirrors though is that I can never be sure which side I should be styling my hair towards. What if the other way would look better to everyone else, and I'd never know because of the mirror?
You think you look ugly on pictures because you're used to looking in the mirror, and have been looking in it all your life, so that's how you think you actually look like. But when you see yourself on photos, you see the mirrored version of how you think you are (and the real version), but you're not used to it so you think you look ugly. It's natural

With the popularity of taking photos on smart phones. I'm not even too sure you can say photos are realistic representations. There are too many variables, such as lenses and head placement (as to minimise feature distortion) to consider.
You'd probably get the best representation from a professional photographer, but even then it's hard to tell.

That's true. But I meant normal photos, like the ones they used to have without all the additions they added to improve the pictures.

The same applies. You can take the same photo of someone with different cameras, and they'd look different depending on the lense it uses. There's even a picture online showing the differences.
The front camera is an accurate depiction of how you really look and how others see you. The back camera is a reverse image, the image you see in the mirror.
The mirror is inaccurate because when people look in mirrors, they subconsciously do things like fix their posture & angle their faces so they look their best. Also, you've been used to looking at your own reversed reflection your entire life, so you don't pick up on your own facial flaws until your face is reversed by the camera.
I have BDD & I'm very obsessive compulsive & insecure about the way I look, so I do this thing where I angle two mirrors together so that when I look into them, I see myself reversed, the way someone else would see me, & my face literally looks HIDEOUS, but when I look into a normal mirror I don't. I see my flaws more clearer now because of it though & it's made my self esteem plummet.
