She has taught me a lot in her interviews and through her music, introduced (through her features, association, and/or mentioning) me to so many different artists from just about every genre, and Pink Friday was the perfect segue for me to really get into rap & hip-hop which before I thought was terrible based on stereotypes and what I heard on the radio. I think every artist I listen to actively has some sort of connection to her and she has really shaped my preference in music.
Like, there may come a day where I am not as happy as I once was with her, but I can't see me giving up my stan card because it is like I am denying the impact she has had on me.
It's not obvious and I can't really explain it if you asked, but you can see a hint of it there.
Not me having the same experience! Not really shaping my preferences, but she's taught me so much and I honestly never listened to Hip-Hop until I listened to Nicki.
