She can go lower than Selena having a higher voice, she just hasn't go has high as Ariana because she doesn't ""Whistle"" but she's much more consistent at her top than Ariana

She's from Nickelodeon The less watched channel. The GP already don't know where this Ariana chick came from, when they all knew dang well that Demi & Selena were Disney Teeny Boppers
I see that. Again, it's because of her control & range. She has the bigger range and she could control her voice more consistently. Demi is too inconsistent to be charted as a star vocalist, she ha(d) infected tonsils which caused her to frequently get sick, again affecting her performances.
I've talked to that critic before and she said she's considering bumping up Demi to a star vocalist soon.
Maybe cuz some people were trying to discredit Demi silly!
Demi's second album debuted at #1 with 108k with no hits, Ariana's DEBUT single went straight to Mainstream Top 40 radio
Demi's first radio single was Skyscraper (on her 3rd album )
so basically its unfair because Demi didn't have the same thing in her first two albums what Ariana has now in her debut.

Her vocals aren't thick. Whitney Houston has a thick, rich tone. Christina Aguilera has a thick, rich tone. Ariana Grande has a thin tone. I don't know how you don't see this

You don't have to tell me about Demi's chops, she is a stellar vocalist. Ariana's voice is just much more controlled and effectively used.

and no not all of them, what are you talking about? Demi's singles were sent to Radio Disney but yet she managed to sell a lot.
Just because Ariana had a successful first single, doesn't mean she was pandering/more-hit-desperate than Demi What kinda failed logic.

ALL songs are sent to top 40 once the artist has a record label. They probably just didn't play it enough
That's my point. Those labels stick with you for life. Especially from Disney.
