I guess that it's because Ariana makes R&B music which is something fresh coming from a new artist (plus, she can sing)
Anyway, Demi sold 110k with DEMI... practically is almost the same...

so basically its unfair because Demi didn't have the same thing in her first two albums what Ariana has now in her debut.

Just because Ariana has more range doesn't mean that Demi has no range.

And she could imitate a lot of voices, but could she sing a lot of genres? Demi could even sing country and sound like a country singer.
