I saw them live in July, after being a fan for about four years. It was probably my favorite concert ever. I was sick and almost couldn't go but I pulled myself together because I didn't want my ticket to go to waste, and this really sounds cheesy but the moment they walked out on stage, I was so completely stunned to be in their presence, it was like magic. They have such incredible charisma and personalities on top of their immense talent, I was in awe throughout the whole concert and I never wanted it to end. I started stanning for them after that

I was so mad afterwards that I didn't buy meet & greet But if they are touring again in the fall which could actually happen, I will definitely meet them
Aww that is so sweet, waiting for GaGa to be your first concert! That's gonna be one amazing experience. I really wanna see GaGa too one day, I don't usually go to pop concerts because they're expensive as hell but GaGa would be worth the money for me.

Rihanna Performs "All My Life"/"Diamonds" on U.S. XFACTOR
Rihanna's album is set to debut at 1 2 3 a very high position on the CAL chart this week, so in order ot insure a high position she took to the ever popular XFactor to perform her newest single "All my life" ft Katy Perry
The Performance began with Rihanna singing the chorus of all my life. Rihanna sang over the backtrack and sounded great. She began the performance in a white dress but during the dance breakdown she disapeared as her dancers danced. She returned back onto the stage wearing sexy leather short and a matching white blouse. She danced as she ran through the second verse and then danced one more time to the breakdown. Then all her dancers left as she began to sing "Diamonds". She began the song in the first verse but after the chorus sang the outro! The performance was praised by critics everywhere and now her album is #1 on itunes again, overthrowing Miley cyrus' album.

The SHIPWRECKED Far Away From Home TOUR
featuring Tegan and Sara
and Special Guest Carly Rae Jepsen
Day 9 Amsterdam, The Netherlands: Paradiso
CARLY'S SET
While doing foreign promotion for her latest single 'Little Poems' Carly Rae Jepsen decided to help out Canadian pals Tegan & Sara by touring with them. As their special guest, Carly joined them for quite a few dates all over Europe. Tonight was the last date of the tour, a sold out show at the Paradiso in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Setlist:
This Kiss
Carly started off her set in Amsterdam with a song from her second album. She started off 'This Kiss', the second single off her last album. The crowd immediately realizing the song from its signature synths, Carly skipped out on stage already filled with energy. Pink lights filled the venue as Carly jammed out with the audience. Carly asked the crowd to sing with her and as asked they did.
Dare To Love Me
Second up was the Justin Bieber collab off her album Yours which will be released in the next few weeks. The singer embraced her inner diva as she delivered strong vocals on the sexual and sensual song. The bass strong on the track, she got the audience to jump with her on the song before a dance break sneaked up in the song and had the Paradiso in nothing but great ol' pop dance madness.
Just What I Need
A new song from her album was next, titled Just What I Need. Having performed this at an exclusive concert at the Staples Center, the singer wowed the audience this time with a stripped back version of the song. She played guitar on this song, something she's never did before. No one on stage but her, the singer gave an intimate performance of the song, her guitar playing this time much more clean and natural than during the first show. She thanked the audience with a shy smile before moving onto the next song.
Almost There
Carly kept her guitar to perform the Tegan and Sara penned track, Almost There. Immediately when she played the first chords, the audience knew exactly what song it was. She sang the beautiful song along with the crowd, a smile printed on her face. She skipped out on the bridge to play a different bit of the song, but just with guitar. She sang the final chorus acapella, which the Belgian crowd seemed to love.
Part Of Your World
Carly covered 'Part Of Your World' from the Little Mermaid next, serenading the audience with the gorgeous classic. The audience seemed in awe as the singer got lost in the song. Though the song is a bit sad Carly smiled throughout the song, her emotion in the song evident. The crowd gave Carly a warm response after the performance, Carly blushing in gratefulness.
Call Me Maybe
The smash hit Call Me Maybe (which sold over 18 million copies worldwide) was what the singer sped up her set with. Performing a intro version of the song that was originally on the demo the crowd roared when she began singing the final cut. Carly danced on stage, singing her hit with just as much as excitement as if she'd never even performed it before.
On A Night Like This (Kylie Minogue cover)
Carly Rae covered another song, this one by Australian pop queen, Kylie Minogue. Singing one of many of the singer's pop smashes, Miss Jepsen chose 'On A Night Like This'.Carly went on before singing the song to inform the audience on some quite exciting news. "I covered this song by this amazing woman who I admire so much, and she was nice enough to let me put it on my album. It's called Your Disco Needs You but tonight I want to do another song I've fallen in love with. And here it is, Amsterdam." Carly smirked before the song's production was played by the band. Carly serenaded the audience with the dance love song. She even adjusted some of the lyrics at one point singing "On a night like this Amsterdam, I wanna stay forever". The singer brought amazing vocals to the stage, the audience swaying and dancing with the singer.
Little Poems
Carly gushed as the crowd stood on their feat and screamed in approval as her band began playing 'Little Poems'. With a smirk, Carly performed the song, the rhinestoned bow in her hair shining from the pink flashing lights that shined above. She finished the song and left the stage to go into the audience and take a few pics and touch their hands. "You were my favorite crowd so far. Thank you so much for a fun time in Holland." Carly then disappeared off the stage as the crowd waited for Tegan & Sara.
TEGAN AND SARA'S SET
For their last show of the European tour, Tegan and Sara played the Paradiso in Amsterdam to a sold out crowd of 1,500 fans. There was an underlying emotionality especially during the slower songs, the band seemingly feeling a bit sentimental about this leg of the tour ending. Despite or maybe just because of that fact, they put on what might have been their best performance of this run, displaying flawless vocals and undying stage energy.
Returning to the standard setlist from the tour, the band played their successful mixture of old and new songs, interspersed with a cover, collaboration with opening act Carly Rae Jepsen and a medley at the end.
Screw The Keys
Shipwrecked
Straight Backward
The Other Side Of Us
Launching into the familiar intro of Screw The Keys and then Shipwrecked, the night began on a more somber note, before Straight Backward kicked in and had everyone jumping and fist-pumping while singing along to the chorus. We really hope this song is gonna be the next single, not only for charity purposes but because people genuinely seem to enjoy it.
Back In Your Head
The Con
I'm Not Your Hero
Hell
I Was A Fool
Going back in time for a couple of years, the nostalgia started with two songs from The Con, performed in an updated arrangement that was no longer purely guitar-based and also included synths. During I'm Not Your Hero, the crowd could be heard singing their hearts out, clearly embracing the message of the self-empowerment song from Heartthrob.
Walking With A Ghost
Where Does The Good Go
Alligator
Nineteen
Atlantic Running
The played two songs from their third album then, making the die hard fans happy and giving the new fans a taste of their previous material by acknowledging the classics. Atlantic Running once again proved to be a smart choice to play, as the crowd was clapping along to it, enjoying its thriving guitars and rhythm.
Feel It In My Bones (Tiesto ft Tegan and Sara cover)
Light Me Up (Carly Rae Jepsen ft Tegan and Sara)
Heart Waster (with Carly Rae Jepsen)
At this point, Tegan and Sara brought out Carly to perform with them, and you could tell they were all a tiny bit sad that this would be the last time in a while they would get to share a stage with each other. Nevertheless, the trio put on an amazing show, with stunning vocal harmonies and a bubbly performance that inspired everyone to move to the music with them.
Call It Off
You Never
Youth
The last three songs were all rather down-tempo, showing the emotional, heartbroken side of Tegan and Sara after all the upbeat dance tracks. The crowd illuminated the place with their lighters and cell phone screens, and it was a truly beautiful sight. When it was time for Youth, the crowd even hummed the opening riff, leaving the band in awe and calling them 'the best crowd ever'.
Medley
The band hadn't even left the stage yet when the crowd already started chanting for an encore, and due to that eagerness it didn't take long until the twins eventually returned for the highly anticipated medley. They had expanded it again, playing twelve songs for the special occasion, and people were besides themselves to hear old classics as well as more new material, cheering every time the duo transitioned into a new song.
Ten minutes later, everything was said and done and the European leg of the Shipwrecked tour was officially finished. Tegan and Sara thanked the audience in Amsterdam and everyone else who had been to a show on the tour for the support and love, and promised to be back before the end of the year for some more fun times.

And I've always been interested in Tegan & Sara, but I only know "Closer." What songs should I look up for them?

Me too, I've been ready ever since her iTunes Festival performance. I need the studio versions of those flawless tracks Having to wait two months is pure torture. That would be the perfect bday present for you Fingers crossed it works out somehow!!
I would recommend Walking With A Ghost, Back In Your Head, The Con, Alligator and Now I'm All Messed Up. They are from their last four albums so they give a good overview of their evolution throughout the years.

Rihanna Covers Marie Claire, Under fire for controversial questions.
Rihanna is now under fire for Shady comment made about singer Leona Lewis in her new Marie Claire cover shoot! Quote below:
Quote:
|
Rihanna: I mean, Leona has always been an inspiration for me. Sometimes when I wake up in the morning and don't want to do anything I say.. well.. I could be Leona.... and then I'm inspired to do what I got to do. That's why I sampled Ginuwine's song named after her, "Pony."
|
Ouch. Rihanna should not of said that! She also talked about her music:
Quote:
Interview: Whats your favorite song on the album.
Rihanna: Probably All My life. It's the song that brings the whole album together. Some tracks are serious like "That's my life" but others are jsut about stopping everything and living in the moment, like ALL MY LIFE which slay. The album is just so many different Parts of Meh that you're never gonna ever take away from meh!

Rihanna visits Graham Norton; Performs All My Life with Graham and Talks Shading other celebrities.

Rihanna wore a stunning red dress for her Graham Norton show appearance and where she talked about being her new Fragrance "Pee of Lions". Just kidding, she talked about her recent shady comments in reference to Miley Cyrus, Lindsay Lohan and Leona Louis.
Graham: So Rihanna, lets talh about your recent shade.
Rihanna: Idk 've just been in the sun so much-
Graham: I meant you dissing Miley Cyrus?
Rihanna *shakes her head* I don't know her.
Graham: *laughs* But you also shaded Lindsay Lohan in the process.
Rihanna: *shakes her head* Me? No I'd never, i loved Mean Girls! My favorite part is when she gets hit by the bus!
Graham: That didn't happen....
Rihanna: Unfortunately.
Graham: Seriously hough. What with all this shade.
Rihanna: I'm kinda bored, just lettign my true feeling out. I need to call someone up to give me some d!ck to calm me down.
Audience: *roars with laughter*
Rihanna: Yes! TRIBUTE QUEEN KATY!
Graham: Oh I will!
Rihanna also sang All My Life. She began standing in the middle of the stage and singing the chorus by herself. But then Graham came out with her and sang Katy Perry's part for the absent singer. They started off singing from other sides of the room but in the chorus Rihanna began grinding on him and during the break down gave him a lap dance on his desk. Then she stood up without him and sang the chorus one more time. The performance was hilarious and received a sanding ovation.
