But he’s really hoping to land the mother of all monsters. “I want to do something with Lady Gaga really bad,” said Wiz. “Lady Gaga-Wiz Khalifa—we need to make that happen.”
Did we all see this???
Gaga should totally give him a call back.. he needs to release that gaga ft. lead single on urban to warm them up for the smash that will be Jewels and Drugs

Any features with relevant artist should def happen! So I'm here for this idea.
If the radio is rejecting Applause imagine how will they react to Sex Dreams
But that sounds more modern than Applause. Even though there is a retro vibe to it, that's kind of what's popular. Pop justice said it right. Sex Dreams is everything Applause (and Aura) is not: digestible.

If we're going to rely on our imagination (again), then we must look back to the very early days of "Applause", when almost everyone thought it was radio-friendly/generic and would be fully embraced.

Applause is completely digestible. It's a rather generic (well not the lyrics) bop and I know plenty of non gaga fans who bop to it when I/radio plays it
However, you're right that it doesn't sound "current".. it does sound like 2011.. probably because it was written then.
So one of my most anticipated song on ARTPOP is a BTW leftover ?

I mean don't take what I said as 100%. However it does add up that she has been saying Gypsy since 2011. Her and Madeon supposedly recorded the track in October 2012 (that tweet of hers saying Madeon has joined the Gypsy life). Redone earlier this year said he hadn't worked with her on ARTPOP. In addition to what Dave said.

Think of it this way. The song was so strong she chose to record it for her new album. She has had a lot of radio friendly unreleased songs that have leaked. For all we know she thought it just didn't fit the album or it sounded too TFM-esque.

It's a big risk. I understand Gaga built her career on risks, but we can all agree that this is not the time to be taking them. She desperately needs a smash, and Sex Dreams (while it is digestible) doesn't sound like a smash at all.
Can't believe people say applause is underperforming cause it sounds "dated" and then songs like love somebody and the otherside smash and that sound is prehistoric and super generic

Exactly. Songs sounding "dated" doesn't mean it won't smash.
The song is slowly climbing up. If it falls, well then it just wasn't received well on radio. She needs another adult-oriented song like TEOG

The production is, but the lyrics and the delivery is off putting to radios. You can't really sing-a-long. The pre-chorus and chorus yes, but I think the verses should have had the same light tone. This is something Gaga could have gotten away with back in 2011.

I hope it smashes! She rejects everything relatable when Sex Dreams is catchy and fun, without being embarrassing. It is fresh for Gaga too.
