Isn't she a Pop star though? Why is she being reffered to as a fashion Icon or did she retire after the ORA era?
We refer to Rita as a fashion icon because her status as a pop star is a given. After all, most everyone discussed on here is a pop star. Fashion icons are few and far between and deserve to be acknowledged and commended for their extra achievements.
