I've no problems lending money if I have extra but some people just act like they don't owe you anything once you need the money back.
It's funny that I am the one who feels awkward reminding them about the money they owe. I hate doing that. If you borrowed money, at least have the initiative to give it back.
That irritates me too. Not just for money, but borrowing things in general.
Ain't no shame in my game, n0pe! I borrow a couple of bucks for snacks from friends all the time. I may pay them back within 3 months. I may not. I lend people money too. Even if they fail to pay me back after promising, I just keep it pushing.
I usually lend friends/family a couple hundred. I did lend a friend over $2000 for a holiday trip we we're going on. Lets just say, we're not no longer friends & have yet to see that money back. I learnt a very expensive lesson. Always get written documentation, I couldn't sue her ass without it

I don't lend out money anymore.
I've lent out money before and soon after was unable to do what I needed to do.
At the end of the day, your problems aren't mine.
It may sound mean, but I have my own business to handle.
I've luckily never had to ask to borrow money thus far, I'm really good at saving it, I'm not one of those people that spends their cash the second it lands in their hand. The only person I'd ever loan money to would be my mom, sorry broke friends but don't be coming to me. Money issues can ruin friendships and I'm not here for that.
I used to when I didn't have a job. Now I try to never do it. I hate borrowing/lending money. I'll never want to pay it back and no one will ever pay me back.
The only time I've ever lent someone money was in 1st grade. He borrowed $4 from me and I told him sign a contract I had written before I gave it to him.He didn't pay me back for weeks and weeks. Eventually he gave me $64 dollars when he finally paid up.
