Will Applause be a bigger hit than Die Young in US?

Die Young peaked at #2 on Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on Pop Songs and sold 2.5M.
Applause peaked at #4 on The Hot 100 so far and it has sold 500K+ in 3 weeks.
Yes. "Die Young" wasn't that big. "Applause" sold more than "DY" did in the same amount of time and charted better too. If it keeps selling at the rate it does while radio airplay continues to build, it can get to 2.5M.
Why bother denying things like this? We're not middle schoolers and this isn't a particularly clever/original post, we can see what you're trying to do. No need for the lies
