She worked with legendary producers like Pharrell before he became the go-to producer of 2013. She also helped influence the imagery for Lady Gaga's biggest era, The Fame, with sleek platinum blonde locks and over-sized sunglasses.
She has also had a tremendous impact on Fergie - she was the lead singer and sole female of a group like Fergie later became, and had immense success upon going solo, like Fergie later did. Fergie has even had songs (London Bridge and Glamorous) draw comparisons to Queen Gwen Stefani's legendary singles Hollaback Girl and Luxurious.

This question needs rephrasing because (no shade) she isn't really an artist of today. For that reason I voted the second option. But I would say yes her body of work has definitely influenced some of the other girls.

The album she was most recently involved in came out less than a year ago. She's still around. She may not be as relevant musically, but she's still a huge star regardless.
Her solo career breathed new life into the industry. She's a real maverick and it's not surprising most of today's major pop girls sing her praises so frequently.
