It HAS to be an announcement.

There's a need for some anticipation for the first single, it can't simply drop out of nowhere with no previous promo (be this promo a radio release or even an announcement on twitter, official page or whatever).

An announcement would not be a disappointment. We'll at the very least be getting all the news we need and the single/everything else will follow suit very soon after. Y'all do the ****ing most.

I still think we'll get official news/press this week or next, since the countdown goes to 9:30 am EST / 6:30 am EST which is typical Ryan Seacrest premieres. But either way the era is starting, no need to get panties in your bunch.
