You do know there's more ways to promote other than performances right?
And TD got a FREAKING MOVIE
Of course there is more, but if she only did 10 tv performances since feb 2011 how much else did she do? Not much considering it took her 2 years. The album never felt over-exposed until the last single, which is why it kept selling and wasn't frontloaded.
And hihi didn't the movie flop? Sorry you can't have it both ways
All of 4 is unpleasant. Where is her new era so we can finally drag something new.
I liked "Standing on the Sun" before the reggae remix, that just sounded desperate and straight out of 2003.
I think Beyoncé is feeling really pressured to deliver. I hope she does.
Jody Rosen credited the jarring timbral and tonal variations on the song for giving a new musical sound that didn't exist in the world before Knowles. He further wrote, "If they sound 'normal' now, it's because Beyoncé, and her many followers, have retrained our ears."
Is this supposed to be sarcastic, right? bc otherwise I just....
Beyoncé is an eccentric, a vocalist with truly weird and original melodic and rhythmic approaches. Listen to the slippery rap-style syncopations in “Say My Name,” to the melodies that float and dart over the thump of “Single Ladies,” to the jarring timbral and tonal variations in “Ring the Alarm” and “1+1.” Those sounds didn’t exist in the world before Beyoncé. If they sound “normal” now, it’s because Beyoncé, and her many followers, have retrained our ears.
After hearing I Wanna Be With You, it is evident GaGa will never have a successful ballad.
They all come out sounding like a Liza meets Barbra, after a pack of smokes, mess. They all sound like cabaret, and not the good kind, but a 3 star Cruise ship kind.
I was in River Island today and they were playing Baby I, I was really happy that Princess Ariana was getting played here, it was exciting ! I know, I have a sad life .

Beyoncé creating new genres of music with just her voice

One of the album’s high points is “Almost Is Never Enough,” a bracing torch song on which Ms. Grande sneaks in some gospel-singing enunciation for extra effect. It’s practically Streisandian, startling in its utter rejection of the now, and ripe for some young singer on “Glee” or “Idol” to butcher.
Yes, and then there's Firework and the movie, the re-release, the endless discounts, the marketing strategies It was the promoted era of all time.
Firework were the first few months after the album, everyone does massive promo
and what do you mean endless discounts? Lmao you mean the 3 weeks for 3 songs 69 discounts which according to your world encourage people to buy a 12$-14$ album?
