Great read.
She is going to continue growing and progressing as an artist from here: this is just the beginning. 10 years from now, people will still be talking about the time Lady Gaga bled to death on stage, or when she wore a dress made of meat, or when she dressed as a man etc. We are watching her build a legacy. One under-performing single can't stop her.

Because she just said it should be less about the numbers yet she went on an all-caps tweeting spree for people to keep purchasing her single. It's one thing to send out a link, but to constantly do it for days & telling her fans to playlist her videos to break records.. Very hypocritical.

But what's different about appearing on dozens of TV shows talking about and performing the single than tweeting about it? Nothing. It's promo, that's what artists do.

She's right, but Monsters will be flocking to praise how correct she is and slam everyone who has said she is over because Applause hasn't hit a decent position yet, but let's be honest, if it had hit number 1 and Roar flopped they would be saying Katy was over. Just before you all try and take the high ground n stuff.
