Her career wouldn't die off but it wouldn't be in great shape either. Rihanna releases singles and albums really fast. Because of this, she hasn't allowed time to properly shape and define her eras. Out of her seven eras so far, only three of them are remotely memorable (Good Girl Gone Bad, Rated R, and Loud).

A one or two year break would really help her because it would create more demand for her music but going further than that wouldn't be good for her career.

JT is an exception to that rule. He is great enough to take a break & still be wanted musically. It isnt like he had as much competition in the world of male pop. He also was still relevant during his hiatus because he was doing collabs & movies.

X was completely AWOL from 2006-2010 and ALOT happened in the world of female pop during that time (Rihanna, Katy, Gaga) so she lost her footing. Beyonce also surpassed her during that 4 year frame as well. X suffered from a long break after 06 just like Fergie, Nelly, and Gwen did.

I think she should be fine, but if she consistently does that idk.

Funny how acts like JT and Sade are able to go almost a decade without releasing anything (and in Sade's case, she goes a full 10 year) and still can come back and own the album market, selling more than those Rihanna-types that are too afraid to let the public go without them for 20 minutes.
