If JT had done it with PT1, I wonder if it would have counted as 3 times? Twice with a group and once as a solo artist. He must've been so pissed off to miss it so narrowly.

It's a place in Asia, I believe? Plus, that hardly means much. iTunes isn't used much there, so practically all of the songs there have sold like maybe 1-2 copies? Charting is based on when they were purchased and stuff like that.
Like, how can you open more than SN, an album that came after a hugely successful era like Fearless? let alone selling one million the second time around with RED.
The pressed souls will continue to call Her local, but who needs to be global when you sell more in one country than their WW total?

WANEGOD, it's power.
I don't even love WANEGBT but success-wise it slayed.

I always say this cuz its so true. Didn't RED sell like 300k ish outside the US? I remember muddy saying it was more than Rihanna's TTT ( a global artist )
I never saw RED debuting w/ 1.2m+. I was honestly expecting like 500k-600k max.

Speak Now did it cos of the momentum from Fearless, and Red did it cos tbh WANEGBT made her relevant again. What else could she do for LP5 to get her that million?
I don't think people will respond so wonderfully to yet another catchy pop song like WANEGBT, and Red's momentum isn't huge at all. She'll probably need some non-pop song that would restore her credibility and the album-buying population that can actually smash (and it's hard to get that I guess)

Sweeter Than Fiction is coming to restore that credibility
