I read a lot about Beyonce being a great singer, but not "gifted" while Xtina is a gifted singer. I am confused. Could someone clarify for me how xtina is more "gifted" than Beyonce? Beyonce seems to me to be a better vocalist. I have never believed in "natural talent" or "gift". I believe in acquiring skills and master them.

Well, Xtina is a much worse and weaker vocalist and she's not gifted, she clearly needs tons of training and vocal help from teachers cause she has HORRIBLE control and screams in every song. If anything, Bey is the gifted one.

you'd know how difficult the majority of her songs are

I would appreciate some answers from people who have knowledge about vocals which many of you obviously dont have. They are the only people who could be objective.

Both are talented and gifted but Beyoncé can control her vocals better.

Her vocal technique is horrendous, the way she goes about singing is extremely unhealthy
and it shows on her voice, i mean listen to her voice in 2003 and listen to it now and tell me you dont hear a difference from all the vocal damage she's done to her vocal folds, by consistently straining again and again.

The sad thing is she had/still has alot of potential vocally but she continues to damage her larynx
by either pushing her larynx to the sky or lowering it to the ground.

I'm pretty sure Xtina has huge vocal nodules and at one point may lose her voice or have to get vocal surgery if she doesnt stop singing the way she does now. What i want her to do is take a year off forget all the bad muscle memory and then go see a vocal coach before it's to late.

Xtina never took vocal lessons to my knowledge, simply her tone and power in her voice, she is very gifted, Beyonce is trained vocalist, not saying she is bad but Xtina is better...

Well I'm a professional singer so I can tell you the difference between Beyonce and X-tina and why people consider X-tina more gifted and skilled.

First of all Beyonce knows how to correctly place and execute her vocals. She has solid technique and has great vocal endurance while dancing because of spectacular breath control.

X-tina despite having been taught to sing with the worst vocal technique known to man or woman still has endured all these years based on natural born talent alone, without dancing, without all the gimmicks and the make-up. It takes such skilled ability to be able to withstand any type of shortcomings and be successful reguardless of it. X-tina is a brillaint singer and she's proved it many times. She just doesn't know how to sing correctly or refuses to sing correctly. There is a BIG difference between being able to sing and knowing how to sing correctly.

X-tina is the most gifted because she has the disadvantage while Beyonce has all the advantage. That's the difference. If Beyonce was on a level playing field with X-tina then she would be the superior vocalist.

Beyonce is a well trained singer and is successful because of it.
X-tina has terrible technique but still has been successful despite it.

X-tina is the more gifted vocalist by comparison.

Beyonce is known for her voice, but in a different way than Christina is known for her voice. Christina was an excellent singer and performer up until the Bionic years when everything dwindled because she met Leona and was mesmerized by her power. She is slowly getting back to Run To You Christina we knew and love at the BET awards, but Beyonce is in no way a bad singer. NONE OF THEM ARE.

Uh, Xtina must have taken vocal lessons. I dont believe for one second she didnt do it.

She may not be known for it, but that doesn't mean she hasn't got it.
