I've found that in terms of certain types of pop star's that subtracting the highest singles sales week figure prior to the album dropping by 100k can sometimes be a good opening week prediction. If that's the case if wrecking ball's release was less messy it would have sold around 280k in its first week putting Miley in that 170k-190k range for Bangerz first week. Ik many artists and albums defy this logic but for the type of artist Miley is(Disney Girl, Provocative female that isn't gaga) I think this is a decent way of predicting. If these numbers were what we ended up with I would VERY happy!

Depends on how they handle WB. If they manage to use all this hype around Miley right now and make WB more popular people might check out the album.

Trying to use her past albums first week sales is tough because CBT sold 103,000 but this time around she has a lead single that has smashed and a higher public profile. And The Time of Our Lives got messed up because Walmart put it on sale early. After that there's breakout which sold 371,000 but that was at the peak of her tween stardom and is kinda irrelevant now

I like that at the end it's stylized "Bangerz" and not "BANGERZ". IMO it looks ugly in CAPS...
