FF era didn't do great, but it didn't lose much because of the low budget they had. 4 had a big promotional campaign and ended up being losing money to the point that her label doesn't allow her to release another album.
the remaining popularity could get her #1, I am not sure if it ensures you to watch a tour gig that you know won't have any live vocals or decent performances, you understood what I meant. Britney is on decline, but there's no way any other pop stars these days could match Britney when she was on her prime.
Popularity doesn't get you #1's. The GP hearing/liking/purchasing your songs does that.

4 did not have a big promotional campaign. The only major flop of the era were singles which make no money and any possible loss they might've had has certainly been made up with this record-breaking tour set to outgross all of knee's
