And yet has sold upwards of 3-4 million outside the US

4 is critically acclaimed.
Her marketing (particularly in her last era) consisted of performing that 'poor setlist' at televised festivals (Glastonbury) and those 'poor songs' on tv shows.

and Single Ladies wasn't released WW, it's chart position doesn't mean that it's impact wasn't felt globally because it obviously was. it sold 8-9 million WW, which is just as much, if not more than OTF.
