Unapologetic is an awful album with awful songs. All her singles off it flopped so hard. (OK, Diamonds and Stay didn't.) She doesn't care.

She is on a big tour and she has so much other business to work (River Island, MAC, Rogue...)

And of course she is lazy, she could have shot videos on her tour breaks but she didn't :/

PIU video situation is just stupid at this point. I agree, a waste. It probably could've approached 1.5-2 million with a decent video.

I understand not releasing Jump. Not radio-friendly at all.

I also want to know why her label isn't being more proactive in releasing/promoting What Now.

She's busy. With the tour and Budweiser and MAC and River Island it just becomes too much
There's only so many hours in a day and she probably can't find enough time to promote the album and shoot videos for it
But there is still hope, as she's not releasing an album this year so there's still a chance Jump might be released

The only person that she insulted on Instagram this year was a HATER that said " Rihanna & ALL her family are mentally ill because of drugs and alcohol"

She is very kind to her fans, more than what you think.

Pour It Up especially seems like a waste. it got top 20 without being sent to pop radio, with no music video, no live performances and without being on Spotify. Not to mention, it's hardly the most mainstream song. Its success was incredible. I always wonder how well it could've done with more promotion. Would've been so amazing if she got a top 5 hit with a song like that.

Birthday Cake could've done so much better too. Again, no music video, no live performances, no pop airplay and it did so well anyway. If the full version had got released, and it had gotten a music video, could've also been a top 5 hit, maybe even higher.

I have a feeling she's just not into this era anymore and y'all know if she's not feeling something she won't do it. It's disappointing as a fan but at the end of the day it's her career and her decisions

I don't want to judge her too harshly because she might be having private personal issues at the moment which are taking precedent over her life.

She doesn't care as much anymore.

She's preparing for a new era that will top Gaga & Katy later this year.

She works hard every single year. Touring is not a joke in terms of how much energy it requires. I mean her shows don't usually end until almost midnight, and she does a ton of other stuff besides like photoshoots, endorsements, appearances, promotion, etc. Moving around on a hot stage for 2+ hours is exhausting, especially when you're singing and moving at the same time. That's partly where these popstars are so fit after they tour.

And knowing her she's probably recorded on the road.

Rihanna is lazy, but she's on tour, doing photoshoots, designing clothing lines, developing fragrances and cosmetics, and filming a TV show simultaneously? Oh okay.

Obviously the last 2 eras have been messy, but she's spread too thin. Which is why a break after Unapologetic era is just what she needs.

The "yardstick" isn't shorter for Rihanna, but the frequency with which she releases allows her to sell 3M worldwide (which is not something to scoff at), and still be okay. Her yearly releases and constant radio presence means there is always money flowing in.

I mean, she's sold like 12 million albums in the past 3 years.

This keeps me up at night.
