Stripped had Beautiful. Fighter and Dirrty are arguably way more memorable than any single from the Britney era as well. The Stripped era is more memorable than the Britney era, denying that is foolish.
I don't think its fair to compare Britney's peak to Gaga low. When Britney was at the height of her success the music industry was completely different from what it is now. Just like when Britney was at her peak and was given titles like pop princess and had all her glory, Gaga had the same success and reaction from music consumers.
Let's all just wait and see how both artists perform in the current industry and then decide who's better. Just as we don't compare the value of a dollar 15 years ago, lets not compare artists from different decades. Let the #s from boths upcoming albums speak the truth and set them free.

Back To Basics hit #1 but it only sold 3.7 seven million. In The Zone surpassed 8 million and Britney interrupted the promotion because she broke her knee. With the release of Breathe On Me as a single it was poised to sell 10 million.
LOL Blackout did not span bigger hits than Back To Basics. Hurt has stood the test of time way more than any of the blackout singles. Britney has been outshined many times in her career. Deal with it.
