Is talent the #1 factor in being considered a legend?
Michael Jackson, Madonna, Aretha Franklin, The Supremes, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Prince, Queen
All of these artists have talent, and they are all legends. Do you think talent is the most important aspect in being a legend or do you think something else is more important such as chart hits, radio spins, album sales, tour receipts etc.
No tbh. It's essential to have a certain level of talent to be actually respected and not just liked by the general public, but it's more about keeping the public interested somehow, especially in case of female popstars.
It is important, but not a deciding factor. Madonna was never a fantastic singer or dancer, but she played her cards right, met the right people, hopped on the right trends, and she's outlasted all of her contemporaries and become musics biggest female icon.

"TALENT" .... she was always talented, though....

Plenty of incredibly talented people are not legends, yet most of the incredibly successful artists are.
Actually, both are.If you're not successful or fail to maintain your popularity, people won't remember you.But if you're successful and popular but not talented, they won't legitimately consider you a legend or respect you.
