Earthquake is a terrible move to use on Tangrowth and Smogon agrees with me.
Smogon also agrees that Venusaur is a fantastic sun sweeper in OU while Tangrowth remains crying in UU that it can't be useful in OU. IF Tangrowth actually survives a Sludge Bomb by Venusaur, an Earthquake won't kill Venusaur even if it is Adamant and max attack.

Oh I agree I don't use it but loads of other people do and it's undeniable that Venusaur ***** on Tangrowth any way possible that isn't being a defense wall.
Honestly I haven't played competitive in a long while I mostly play OU/UU and I know most of the Pokemon's strengths and weaknesses (I'm such a nerd ) it's just that I suck at assembling teams

I do competitive battling a bit whenever I'm bored. I wouldn't say I am the best by any means, but I am pretty good in UU and NU at least. NU is my best tier. I'm also decent at RU.

NU, imo, is a huge ass MESS There's too much to pick from and a lot of Pokemon from that tier just don't belong there I also tried playing Little Cup once and it was the messiest thing ever

IMO it's not like that. A lot of the pokemon that don't belong there are just considered PU and therefore not used at all. I have a solid team pretty much and it's hard to make a new team without using at least half of my current team.

When I played OU there's ALWAYS a Scizor (Volcarona is still the Bug King, don't try it) or a Metagross. Not sure how it is now but I bet it hasn't changed
