Her relationship with her label won't change that she becomes unmarketable. The pop market is, and always will be ageist. When you become a certain age, they drop you - and that's typically in an artist's 30's and onward. Rihanna's voice is nothing revolutionary that isn't replaceable. I don't think she's done yet, but if they don't give her a big era, she's not going to stay consistent. As you can see her past two eras, she's only had two hits and the entire thing was a wrap.
