She definitely has the most artistic respect, if she put out a full on alternative album and was smart with promotion, she could gain a whole new fan base while making her old fan base love her even more. LP5 is crucial Lord.

I've been raving about that for a long time. Both clashes are amazing but Enchanted wins.

I mean, dude, how did She sell 4M copies of Preach Now when the pop audience wasn't there for Her and no hit singles? One third core fan base, then Country audience (I doubt this one, since Her singles wouldn't have never been #1 without payola), then the rest?

Death. If I were lucky enough to request a song and she turned me down..well, I'd probably start crying and tell her how much of an impact the song had on my life.
There's goes my dream of EVER hearing "The Other Side of The Door" live.

I wonder what would happen if Taylor put out a critically acclaimed alternative album, with perfect single choices. I bet people would still comment on how she has no artistic depth and ****.

I have also mentioned this a few times but in the second bridge of Treacherous She adds these harmonies to the beat towards the end which sounds really distinct and differentiates itself from the rest of the production. It's incredible and a testament to how She has grown as a musician. When will Rihanna? When will Katy? When will Britney??? Only Gags can match Her, but even then she falters to The Lord.

Scott just needs to roll out that payola and we all good
Plus I think most would be totally here if she did a different alternative folk rock sound, it'd still have strong pop hooks, country would be here for folk influences, and shed start new trends. Perfect

The fact that MM didn't excecutve produce Red and only did 3 tracks while the rest were country/rock/alt leaning proves she only wanted to grab Pop's attention. I dot think she do a completely pop album. That's why it's weird when people say Red is a pop album, it's got like 4 full on pop songs and like 4 more pop influenced ones

People can complain how "simple & basic" Her arrangements, but one cannot deny that She has such an amazing ear for melody & harmony. And hey, if it's that easy, why can't the others do it?

I don't know why some of these bitches are leaving out Red from their AotY Grammy nominations list. She has sold more than all of the other bitches combined since last year and have the critical acclaim to back it up. Pressed Souls seething 'til oblivion.

Yes "ohh, 'oohs" and it becomes apparent during 3:12-3:17 and 3:32- 3:34. Listen closely to the beat with your earphones during those time frames and you can hear the "ohh ooh" in full glory .
I just want you guys to pick up on that because that is what makes the song THE BEST track on RED.

I just listened to some other Dan Wilson & Jeff Bhasker produced songs by the other girls. Quite dull, lyrically, and production wise.
Those harmonies are Her sound. Pure amazingness. Very distinct indeed, since no one else is doing it and it seems like only Her who can do it. It's Her trick. Needs to be trademarked!
