Ugh they overrun my school and think they're so cool cuz they listen to pandora and have phone cases that have pictures of lakes with some quote and triangle over them. Whenever an indie/alternative song makes it big, they're the first to say that they've known the song for two years.
There was this one awkward moment when I was talking about a song, I believe it was 'Crazy Kids', and someone muttered, "God that song's so old and soooooo overplayed." It was awkward considering the fact that the song wasn't a single at the time, and it was released only like a few weeks before.

That reminds me of one time I was playing California Gurls the first day it was released on itunes to some friends during lunch in HS (can't believe I was a Sophomore at High School and we're just now on a new Katy Perry era when I became a Junior in College
) and this heaux came up and told us that the song was everywhere and was so mainstream.
