You could sign a horrible record contract and sell millions and millions of albums and have no money at all, but most artists are wise to that now, in comparison to the 90s artists.

Ciara has been in the business for a decade now. For the past three albums (her last has sold 60K first week) people have said the same thing and she's still here prevalent in Hollywood and doing concerts and making money with appearances.

And artists make little money from music in comparison to the money they make from endorsments and investments.
