It's time to rid this site of all the VGChartz drama. They never claimed to be 100% right, they release estimates. The estimates are a very good indication of how well the game is doing. When comparing final numbers to VGChartz numbers, they are always close to the final numbers, so I don't see the problem.

I would not put so much faith in Sony inside numbers. Vita was also having "rave" pre orders

And who is talking about sales tho? We were talking about software quality and Wii U has more and better EXCLUSIVE content. All the good stuff PS4 & XB1 have will also be on 360 and PS3.

So this is probably the best thread to ask this..... I'm completely Video game illiterate and I'm planning on possibly getting a PS4 but won't consider an Xbox out (I get a decent discount on either with no tax charged if I get it through my my jobs technology retailers), I have a few questions ad hope fellow **** can help me out....

I had a Playstation 2 for the longest and only played like 4 games and mostly used it as a DVD player.

Could you still go online on the PS4? What does XBox charge a month to connect online? Also if needed to connect online will both consoles pick up wifi or do I need an ethernet cable directly to the console? Also I want to buy some older Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat/Soul Calibur games I want to play, some are from PS2, will those play on the PS4? Will Blu-Ray discs play on either?

PS4 and the XBone both will charge for online gameplay. However, PS4 will still allow you to access most non-gaming applications that require an online connection. That being said, both will utilize wireless internet connection (something already used by the PS3 and the 360). PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live will be priced the same for next-gen consoles, I believe. Sadly neither console will utilize backwards compatability (so it won't play PS3/PS2 or 360/Xbox games). Both will be able to play Blu-Ray discs.

Screams. Because those games are actually quality games with advanced storylines, characters, and concepts. All those pathetic Mario spin offs like Golf, Tennis, Soccer, etc all count towards its total. Obviously better franchises aren't going to degrade themselves by making terrible games like that.
