Unfortunately, in order for her to be singing catchy songs like these, she needs that young image.

I guess it's the fact that she's been making songs like these for people over the years and never got her chance to shine, so she's trying to make it up right now. I think it's somewhat kind of a depressing thought, but hey, she can do what she wants.

Yeah I totally get the whole youthful thing goes for pop girls go but when I first saw the video for American girl I thought she looked out of place. She just looked to old for the her wardrobe and the dancers/ co stars did not help either. I think you can create fun music like she does without going the whole I'm young and immature route.
