I have to learn French on B1 level in a year and a half. I used to study it 10 years ago, but I remember nothing. I'm also bored of English music. So, can anyone recommend artists that sing in French? Music is a great help when it comes to learning new languages.
Preferably something akin to indie pop/rock.

I don't know if it counts as indie, but I really love YELLE! Great lyrics and the production is somewhat infectious too.
Edit: You should also check out Édith Piaf's discography, it's really beautiful. And I don't know any songs from her but Myléne Farmer is said to be a great singer too.
