I'm tired of serious threads getting closed because some people can't handle being mature and decide to troll and add dumb GIFs. Is like the mods are afraid of serious threads, if someone is trolling then they should warn them.

The thread was going very well, all things considered. Especially for ATRL.

It's closure was unnecessary. Should've just thread banned all the one who weren't taking the subject matter seriously.

I wish that thread could've stayed open; most people were behaving themselves, and I think we all (myself included) could all stand to learn something and be more supportive.

I agree, that would be a great idea. It could even work for music discussions; sometimes ATRL manages to have serious topics about music, but inevitably there are still too many gifs and trolling and "flop!!!" and "TL;DR" detracting from the rest of the interesting posts.

I think should someone make an umbrella thread for serious topics and the topics could change weekly. That way we don't have a plethora of discussion threads, and we have a place to discuss serious subject matters.

There should be a "mature discussion" thread, and users would have to sign up for and be approved by mods before posting. I don't know, just a thought.

If someone tries to say "Go to the Blog section" then I will slap them because that's not the point.
If a thread where people shade and drag artists can be seen by guests and stay open most of the time, then why a serious discussion thread can't?

But there is no difference. They were both serious discussions closed because of a few immatures, me making points makes no difference in my thread having the right to also be open.
