Other species do not have the ability to change their gender like humans do. How do we know there aren't dogs out there that think they're a female when they're actually a male. That sounds dumb but really how would we know?

Besides, Monte, didn't you say you'd rather have sex with men than women before?

God taught us to accept people for who they are as well, so that "why would you change what god made" argument is INVALID.

A majority of people are cisgender (Identifying with the gender/sex they were born with), but having a penis doesn't force anyone to believe they are actually male and having a vagina doesn't force anyone to believe or live as a woman. That's kind of the whole point of being trans*, I mean...
|
I don't mean to sound like an asshole here, but just because you believe you are a woman, doesn't change the fact that you were in fact born as a Male. I have absolutely no problem with Transgenders, but just because you get some surgery, doesn't change the Genetics.

Some of you are no different than the typical homophobes you see on the street

People weren't born with makeup or tattoos either though. Plastic surgery, as well. Why is that more normal?

Actually being trans is not a mental illness, you are correct. But if you chose to be trans, obviously something isn't right with you or else you would be comfortable with your own skin

Really keep it cute sis and you should be the last one talking about disorders, after all the sick stuff you did at college that has a huge negative effect. Unlike people being transgendered

It's not something that I understand, but it is something I've learned to accept. I used to think "eww" "gross" but in all reality... If you can be born gay (which is the main point that gays try to get across to non gays) them you can certainly be born uncomfortable with your gender, right? I may not "get it", but straight people not "getting" me is one of my main frustrations, so I am in no position to judge, by any circumstances.

to sum it all up, my take - to each their own!

But you could also say that we're meant to mate with the opposite gender since that's our way of producing. There are obviously anomalies in the human race when there are 7 billion people on Earth.
|
But I don't believe that though and I'm quite aware of differences...
Did you just want to find something wrong in my post or something!?

You'd think this was the case but time and time again the people on this site will surprise you with their ignorance and close-mindedness.
But anyway, there isn't anything wrong with it. I don't know what mental journey a person would have to go through to realise they are born in the wrong body, but it must be very painful and difficult. Props to the people that can set themselves free and start living the way they want to.

I'd say ask someone else on ATRL, but they'd just say ask the Seafood Department at Giant Eagle.

True we don't know. But there are some animals that do have the power to change genders

Do you really think people "choose" to feel like they were born into the wrong body?

Being trans* is about your mental perception of your gender/sex/etc. and how you do not identify with what you were physically given at birth. Getting sexual reassignment surgery is something that helps them feel better & feel like who they feel on the inside.
So, yes, they were born "male" or "female", but they did not feel the same mentally.

I agree tbh. I can't say I understand completely, but I'm not really opposed to it. How could one be?
