Nicole- who doesn't want to be successful? That doesn't just apply to artists, I mean in general. Everyone wants to be successful at what they're doing.
Legend X has a huge ego and is very hypocritical at times but her "i don't care about success" is clearly more of a "i don't care if I fail but that doesn't mean I won't try a bit". She's just not gonna slave herself on every award show and talk show to sell a damn song or album. If it fails, it fails, and she's still proud of her work. She was given creative control for Stripped, B2B, and Bionic, and the latter ended up tanking so she took RCA's advice and worked with Max Martin. It's called compromise and obviously she's not opposed to having success- she says in her letter that she loves those moments but doesn't live for them. That's what separates her from Madonna or Gaga. They probably scream, cry, and freak out when they don't do well (we all know what Gaga does as seen by her Twitter), and Madonna is just a bitter, jealous, success-chasing mess.
Ke$ha needs to learn from Katy how to use Dr Luke, Max Martin, Bonnie McKee and Benny Blanco.
The fact that her career ended without even a Grammy nomination, without a VMA, without a Rolling Stone cover, without a successful tour, without even cracking 3M albums sold....tragic.

A forgotten mess who had the biggest song of 2009, how did it all go so wrong?
