And I'm actually laughing at the Americans and Britons saying Israel stole land. Was it by magic that a bunch of Europeans appeared in North America and displaced the Native Americans? And what about Britain and Northern Ireland? Obviously, those were your ancestors, so you're not to blame. But it was modern Israelis' ancestors who settled Transjordan after the Balfour Declartion in 1917. Britain invited Jews to settle there, so is today's Israel really to blame? Can you blame it for defending itself against unwarranted aggression from its neighbours?
As for Syria, there is no compelling evidence that Assad has used chemical weapons. None. At all. Intelligence is hazy. Frankly, it would be in the world's best interests if no action were taken against Syria. If France, the UK and the US do invade, there would be serious, serious consequences. Syria's friends--other oil-producing countries--could cripple Western economies by limiting oil supply. Not to mention what Russia might do. All things considered, it's not worth it. Let Syria resolve this internal problem by itself.
