Cuaron was clearly desperate though. He offered the role to nobodies like Carey Mulligan, Olivia Wilde and Blake Lively to awful actresses like Jennifer Lopez. The only ones that could do a good job in SaBu's place would be Rachel Weisz and Angelina.

It was a VERY long and grueling shoot. This movie has been in production since like 2010 . For many it was a scheduling issue. Also, some balked at the idea of a movie where it's just them, in a spacesuit, floating for 90 minutes.
