I wMiley's parody of it is being popularized in white mainstream culture which is annoying and offensive.
You took the words out of my mouth
It was a black culture since like the 2000's, and now random white teenage girls are just attempting to do it.
No racism intended.
It's become annoying because people genuinely think they can twerk when they can't and they try to flaunt their pancake looking a$$ anywhere and everywhere to spark a reaction. It's no longer funny and the phase needs to end immediately.
No, it's annoying seeing people with no ass or people who will drop the trend do it so much as if it's "cool." I can't wait for the mainstream to be over with it so those who made it popular can have it back and enjoy it.
I mean...yeah, it's annoying. But if any of your favs jumped on the bandwagon and made a song about twerking, it would be the best thing ever.
I have no doubt there will be REAL twerking in the "Pour it Up" video if it's EVER RELEASED.
This implies there was some point where it wasn't annoying. It has always been tacky, it has always been stupid, and, expanding on those two thoughts, I have always judged people who twerk, or routinely use the word twerk in a non-ironic way, as being both tacky and stupid. I don't understand why every white, middle class gay boy suddenly has an obsession with twerking, but it's not cute and they need to STOP IT.
This s**** been around for a decades,
white girl start doing it (if you can call that twerking)
and all of a sudden its a phenomenon,
yes the hype on it is ridiculous.

It would be an embarrassment and I would not be here for it.
It's annoying when people twerk and the only thing I see moving is their spinal cord.

Well the act itself has been here for years, I don't mind it. But now every try hard irrelevant is just turning to 'twerking' to have some relevance in this whole overused craze, and that's annoying yeah.
