I guess the woman who wrote the hook and chorus didn't deserve to at least say one word? If the song is so powerful for gays why not have a lesbian who wrote the chorus from her own experience speak about how much the song means to her? People in this thread are acting like she isn't important but didn't he write the song for people like her?
I do feel he made an honest mistake and was caught up in the moment but the people saying she didn't have to speak because it was his song are wrong. It was just as much her song as it was his.
I noticed that. At the very least, it seemed really rude especially since it seemed like Ray Dalton was trying to grab the microphone to say something, and then Macklemore grabbed it away
This. Macklemore is a terrible rapper anyways so......
This thread is disgusting, nit picking this great guy and then calling him a hypocrite. I'm so ashamed.
He isn't great. "Same Love" is terribly produced, has terrible lyrics, and (while it does have a great meaning) it is just pocket money for Macklemore and Ryan.
I think it was rude that he didn't let Ryan Lewis speak much, but even when he spoke, he only thanked a bunch of random people, like... we dont give a ****.
