And obviously it taking 9 Hours didn't cause Roar to not Slay. So it's still up in the air if it taking 15 hours for Berzek to go #1 is a bad sign or not for Eminem.

I don't think it's a bad sign at all. As you said, it had to climb through VMA exposure AND a song that's potentially selling at a rate of 400K+ per week.
Not to mention, his single literally came out of the blue (only being announced two days ago). Not too many artists call pull off what he's done today.
It still proves that, after 15+ years in the game, his fan base (and general public interest) still have love and support for him.
