for me she isnt a pop artist only.
she has soooo many genres in her discography, it's like Rihanna is just a beautiful gurl from the barbados and taking the music buisness just like a GP.
She records songs in all type of genres, that's what people wanna hear.
I think she is somehow a music revolution, like Mozart. get me?
She makes the music, people want to hear! (u don't want to hear just pop music in your life!)
she is pretty much above all them pop girls. smashing with all genres left and right, setting new records & trends, making music move & make a step into another lead.
U know, the pop girls will make history in pop music, and Rihanna is still above them making history in music general.

I do agree though, it's almost like the other pop girls just try to recreate something they've already done in different ways but Rih always tries something new and always succeeds
But one thing we do know for sure is that she is one of the biggest things to come out of the Caribbean and one of the biggest artists of our generation

What about a Marie Antoinette classical theme. Not something over the top like Katy or Bey did but similar to the scene in Sex and the City where she had the wedding photoshoots. All about high fashion couture gowns. Rih's never given us anything like that

I thin kthe Unapologetic era should of been milked with What Now as the third single because the GP was starting to see her in a different light. She went from an average singer who "only sings about sex" to a emotional artists. People loved Stay and Diamonds. They should of marketed it like this was a new Rih, since everyone was seeing her different anyway.
But since they didn't I feel that for the next album Ballad singles should no treally be expected. Tbh I want a pop/rock lead single.
I've noticed that as well. Diamonds and Stay have really marketed Rih towards a more mature audience.
- I was at the doctors office one day stay was playing in the background and the receptionist who was a middle aged woman was asking if i knew who the singer was. I told her Rihanna. She was so surprised went on a lil rant about how she didn't like Rihanna (the same old she's a bad role model rant) but loves that song.
What Now will help continue down that path. Which i think is great.

I agree with this, but I would actually love to see her expand on the Egyptian theme she had going. I wouldn't call it regressing if she really explored it further. An era with Egyptian-inspired visuals would slay.
