It's just that it only reached #1 in 1-2 countries in its first 2 days despite making Roar album-only for a while and also promoting her single at the VMAs while Gaga went #1 in 55 countries (a record) and #2 in the rest of the major markets (US, Japan) while Katy is still only #8 in the US and Gaga is also doing better right now than Katy was one day ago on Kworb. It's just that I expected her to go #1 everywhere like she did with Roar on single charts but her album-selling power is surprisingly lower. It's just pre-orders but I think that Gaga is having amazing longetivity with pre-orders alone: it has been around #15 in the US and around #2~#5 WW for almost a week now which I think means that it's moving about 6-8k iTunes sales a day which would mean about 300k pre-orders in one month alone if we take into account that she'll do the iTunes festival, do better with the Applause single in the future and such while I see Katy only doing about 50-100k iTunes pre-orders in its first month, both WW.
