Bruno is pretty cute but his music appeals to the most basic. I'd even argue that his music, along with Adele's, is more basic, cheesy, safe and predictable than Katy's.
I think the point Gaga was making with that crooked wig is that it didn't quite fit her...just like TF era. It wasn't the real her. So she evolved to her other eras. With artists of her caliber you have to watch the performance more than once to really get it.
