This past Sunday, Miley Cyrus delivered the most talked about and most controversial performance
the VMA's has had since 2007. This begs the question: Was Miley Cyrus' performance of
"Blurred Lines" with Robin Thicke more memorable and controversial than any and
all televised performances ever delivered by the "controversial" Lady Gaga?
I'd rather gaga not to be the most controversial if that means to ruin her whole reputation.. at least the majority of the critics about gaga's performance were positive.
I think Gaga was just focused on giving on a great performance and she did just that. While Miley was purposely trying to pull a Britney circa 2007 for headlines and did just that.
Great performances make legends, publicity makes celebrities.
You and all people like you on this site would drag Gaga to hell and back if she even TRIED doing something similar. "Cultural appropriation!" "Racist!" "Desperate!" "Tacky!" "Gross!" When she's being 'controversial', you drag her. When she tones it down, you drag her for not being controversial enough. The transparency...
seriously it was the best thing that could have happened to gaga
I'm sorry that miley took the lashings but it's refreshing to not have the negative press constantly on gaga
miley sacrificed herself for gaga
They bring different kinds of attention..
Gaga gets attention for doing things that are innovative and creative (also, the fact she has the talent to back it up helps)
Miley got headlines for literally just dancing like a **** and poking her tongue out.. Her vocals were awful, the movement was like a horny teenager who grinds on their friends dad. It really was awful
its bigger than any Gaga performance I can think of
I agree. I don't know of any Gaga performance that has been talked about THIS
much and created so much OUTRAGE. It's quite astonishing. Kudos to Miley Cyrus.
